Giving Away Paula Deen!
January 12, 2011
Remember when I mentioned , on my 2011 reading list, that I would be giving away some books? I was referring to fiction mostly, but I just went through my cookbooks. When I realized I was only referring to two recipes in ‘Paula Deen and Friends’ I thought it was a good one to give away. To a better home. One that will really use it.
If you think you might splatter the pages with gravy, and smear them with butter (Paula would love that!), leave me a comment. I’ll draw a name next Tuesday, 1/18 and promptly send it on its way to you.
The two recipes I copied? Shrimp and Grits and Shrimp and Wild Rice Casserole. A theme going on I do believe.

Now Bev, who else in this world reminds you of Paula Deen? Me. You know I love that woman!!
I promise I will smear the pages with gravy, butter and LOVE.
I LOVE her books! I promise to give it lots of love and butter!
Love to own that. : ) Everything is better with butter and love! (and maybe gravy too)
Love Paula. Went to Savannah this past summer and ate at Lady & Sons.
I have five packs of butter (four sticks each) in my freezer right now, so yeah, I’m pretty sure I’d be able to use a Paula Deen cookbook! 😉
I love Paula Deen, and have given her cookbooks as gifts, but never purchased one of my own. This one sounds divine though!
I’m a butter fan from way back. If you are including Canadians in your giveaway I’d love to be entered. :v)
Of course I include canadians! We love canada!
I’m in – I love cookbooks!
I love Paula Deen, and I love trying out her recipes, mostly for our weekly potluck dinner bookclub at church. Interestingly enough, she made the shrimp and grits recipe on her show today. I was skeptical at first, but by the end, I was convinced I’d like to cook it, and eat it! 😉
Hey, Bev, watch Paula on a regular basis and listen to her talk. Do your best to mimic her, and you’ll sound like a local in no time. Though a tad more southern than east Texaners, the accent is still pretty similar. 😉
Hey y’all. I just adore Paula Deen. And butter.
I would love to have one of her cookbooks.
I would love to have one of Paula’s cookbooks! I promise it will be put to good use!!! I DVR her show all the time!! Thanks Bev!
I love Paula Deen–everything I have made of hers has been delicious and fattening!!
I love Paula Dean and butter! I would love to have this book.
Ya know what? A Paula Deen cookbook is something I don’t have, amazingly enough. But I’d sure like one. Bless you for hosting this giveaway!
I love Paula Deen and can’t believe I haven’t purchased one of her cookbooks yet. Please count me in!
Can’t eat Paula’s way every day but I do love to try her recipes! Thanks for the opportunity to win one of her cookbooks!
Oh I love me some Paula Deen! And so would my 5 kids. 🙂
(I live in Canada though, in case that eliminates me.). Thanks for the chance to win Bev!
I would love to cook up some of Paula’s recipes. Thank you.
I don’t have one Paula Deen cookbook yet. I am just starting out on my cookbook library and it is slim pickens. But what I do have I use. While I can’t promise to get gravy and butter all over the book (I slip mine in a ziplock to protect the pages), I can promise that if I win, this cookbook will be loved and then passed (willed) down to my two daughters. Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter my name.
Cheryl, you won! Send me a mailing address, to my email on sidebar, and I’ll pop it in the mail for you this week!
I enjoy watching Paula Deen cook…thanks for sharing her cookbook w/ us.
Love Paula Deen and your blog. Thanks
Would love to have one of her books and dream of being in the south while the snow is blowing here in Kansas.
I would LOVE this cook book! It’s a good thing that I checked in with you when I did. I hope I’m not too late. I know this may sound a little silly but I plan on using the color of Paula’s turquoise cookware for a redo of my kitchen next summer. I think that it is the prettiest shade of blue/green. I’m always behind on things but I don’t care. By the time I get it finished, a whole new color will be in style. (I could write my own book on those kind of things.)
I’ve been following your blog since it was “Blessed Beyond Measure”. I’m so glad that Don and you are enjoying your well-deserved retirement.
